Another great year at Elochoman Marina in Cathlamet Washington enjoying their Bald Eagle Days celebration! This yearly event is a do not miss for most in the area. The quintessential small-town experience that most of us do not get to be a part of anymore.
Parade, chalk art contests, train rides, root beer floats, music and of course the fabulous fireworks show to cap it off
If you are ever wondering highway 4 (ocean beaches highway) in Washington state, do yourself a favor and stop into this lovely town called Cathlamet. We cruised into town 5 years ago and it has become a favorite stop ever since.
The people of this town are one the friendliest we've encountered in our travels. Stop you on the street to chat, invite you in even, making it easy to love this community.
The town itself has a population of about 560 residents. It is known for:
Its preserved historic downtown
Columbia River views
Annual Bald Eagle Days celebration
Boating, fishing, kayaking, and birdwatching
Easy access to nearby forests and wildlife refuges
Although small, the town remains an important cultural and historical center for the lower Columbia region, preserving both its Indigenous heritage and its legacy as a river community. Their local museum is well cared for and has a wealth of information and displays.
Elochoman Marina offers moorage, cabins, rv spots and tent camping.
Also available are several wonderful vacation rentals! Click this link to rent one of our favorites! Cozy River Front Getaway
